Creating invoices in no time
You create an invoice via ‘Sales > New invoice’. Convenient: PIA Go! immediately includes it in your bookkeeping.
Are you wondering when you need to create an invoice?
---
It’s actually simple: for business customers it is legally required. For private individuals, you have the choice: create an invoice or register the sale in your daily receipts book.
Invoicing in PIA Go!
6 useful features
• For a Belgian customer, PIA Go! automatically fills in the address as soon as you enter the VAT number.
• Want to include existing products in your invoice? Start typing and PIA Go! shows items you previously used, including price and VAT rate.
• For business customers, you must mention the VAT number. Don’t know the number? Then choose the customer type ‘Private individual (or entity without VAT number)’ when creating your invoice in PIA Go!.
• For sales to foreign customers in the EU with a valid VAT number, or customers outside Europe, you do not need to charge VAT. PIA Go! automatically checks whether the VAT number is valid and adds the legally required mentions to your invoice.
• There is also the option ‘Co-contractor: reverse charge of Belgian VAT to the customer’. This system applies when the buyer, not you, has to pay the VAT and is mainly used in the construction sector. If you select this option, PIA Go! automatically adds all legally required mentions.
• Also useful: via the settings you can personalize the design of your invoice with your own colors and logo.
Once your invoice is ready, you can print it or send it directly by email. If you send it via PIA Go!, you can even see when your customer has viewed the invoice. Useful to check whether everything has been received correctly. You can also choose to add a PDF attachment or send automatic reminder emails in case of late payment.

From January 1, 2026, invoices between taxable persons must be sent via Peppol. Emails with PDF attachments will then no longer be allowed. In PIA Go! you can already register for Peppol for free. If your customer is also connected to the network, the option ‘Peppol’ will appear next to the ‘Email’ button.
Registering daily receipts digitally
Do you sell to private individuals without issuing an invoice? Then you must record those sales in a daily receipts book. In PIA Go! you can register these transactions digitally via ‘Sales > New daily receipt’.
Good to know:
• A digital daily receipts book must meet strict legal requirements.
• Once entered, data may not be deleted or modified.
• An Excel file is not legally allowed as a daily receipts book.
But what exactly do you need to register in that daily receipts book?
In principle, it is sufficient to enter the total amount of your sales without invoices each day. You may also register each sale separately if you find that clearer. Note: sales of €250 or more must be listed separately.
• No sales?
If you use a daily receipts book, you are required to enter an amount every day. Even on days without sales. Don’t feel like doing that manually? PIA Go! can automatically set days without entries to zero, which is useful if you only have occasional sales.
• Made a mistake?
No worries! Entered daily receipts cannot be deleted (this is not legally allowed), but they can be corrected. Click on the button next to the daily receipt you want to adjust. The original entry remains visible but is crossed out, with the correction shown below.
• Tracking your sales outside PIA Go!
Do you create invoices via another tool, or do you have a paper daily receipts book? You can still include those sales in PIA Go!. Via the ‘Other sale’ button in the overview screen, you register those sales in your digital bookkeeping. In that case, make sure to keep your paper administration for the legally required period of 10 years.
Overview of all your sales
In the ‘Sales overview’ screen you can see all registered sales (invoices and daily receipts). The status shows at a glance what has already been paid (green) and what is still outstanding (red).
Have you received a payment? Click on the red status indicator to process it. Good to know: in your VAT return and profit and loss account, all sales are included, regardless of whether they have already been paid.
Credit notes: corrections to previously issued invoices
Do you want to correct or cancel a previous invoice? Via ‘New issued credit note’ you can handle this in just a few clicks. It works the same way as creating an invoice. Credit notes also appear in your sales overview, but with a negative amount and in red.
